Waxing Your Armpits??? OUCH!

Hairy Ladies Raise your Hands!

So I have recently had an obsession with wanting to wax my armpits for the summer. I feel like sometimes it looks like by the end of the day I have a 5 o'clock shadow under there! Dark Haired ladies do you hear me?! Anyway, I am definetly going to go to a professional, but I had time today and tried to wax with my eyebrow wax.

Difficulties when trying to wax your OWN armpits:

• Its Hard to see! And looking in the mirror doesnt really help, because you can't get close enough.

• The hair goes in all directions

• It hurts...at first

• You Start Sweating!!

It did work, I didnt get all the hair off because some was shorter and was harder to wax. My wax came with a soothing cream that definetly helped after. DONT use aloe, I tried that in the past, and it burned. Before I waxed, right after my shower, I used rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball to remove excess deodorant, and sweat. I really wanted to try waxing myself, just incase it really burned for days after, or I had a bad reaction. As of now, it feels okay, after an hour later.

It was a good first attempt, I think I am going to leave it up to the professionals now. The Fun of being a woman! (who actually cares about hairy armpits :)

If you have any waxing tips, probs, or anything you'd like to share, please feel free to comment below!

UPDATE:
a few days later, and my armpits still look great! i can't believe it, i love not having to shave! this rocks.... for special occasions!

Eyeliner Tips

So We have all bought about 10 different eyeliners or liners, and you keep them in your old make-up bag or at the bottom of some old make-up basket. right? Well i have found a few that work!

For Top Liner This Felt tip Eyeliner by NYX cosmetics is perfect and gives you TOTAL control! great dark black color too. I found it at Ulta Salon or online at cherryculture.com

Also, for the inside of your bottom lid, use the Cover Girl Pencil - Perfect Blend- its usually at all drug or grocery stores. Make sure it has the rubber one end, even if it looks like a different one, with the pencil on each end, this is the only one that works on the inside of my lid personally.

Also, for very Smooth eye shadow looks, use a eye shading brush. I Found a great one at walgreens. After you have put on all your make up, Do your Bronzer/Blush last, and i usually just blend the top and sides of my eye shadow in a little better with my bronzer/brush, for a softer look.

Naturally Exfoliate that Winter Dry Skin!

One of the most important steps of your skin care regime should be exfoliating your skin. Doing so gets rid of the excess oils that clog your pores while eliminating the dead cells from the surface of your skin. Immediately after exfoliating your skin looks lighter and leaves you with a refreshed feeling.

First: Start with the lips, that can get so Chapped from the Winter!

Step 1: Get a soft toothbrush and wet it with warm water, then brush your lips in a circular motion. Pucker up and get that inside lip stuff too! Add a little sugar to your brush to get ride of the extra chapped parts!

Step 2: Moisterize with a good lip balm, or vaseline, or break open a Vitamin E capsule and spread on your lips for good moisturization and protection.

Next: Lets move to our bodies using Dry Brush Exfoliation

A dry brush exfoliation involves the use of a soft, dry brush to gently brush the skin. It is recommended by holistic practitioners to remove dead skin cells, improve the circulation of blood and lymph, and enhance detoxification through skin. The gentle pressure is also thought to have a calming effect.

Dry Brush Exfoliation
The only tool needed is a soft, dry, skin brush, preferably with natural bristles.

Step 1: Stand in the shower with the water off.

Step 2: Starting at your feet, start brushing in small circles towards your heart. Apply very light pressure, avoiding broken skin, skin rashes, or areas where the skin is thin, such as the face or inner thighs.

Step 3: After you've finished both legs, move on to your arms. Brush from your fingertips, again towards your heart.

Step 4: Reach around and brush from your back towards your stomach.

Step 5: When you are finished, begin showering.

How Can we ALL wear RED lipstick?

How come i look so bad in RED lipstick? Well i was doing a little research and came up with these few tips!

1. First you need to figure out what Tone or Color Range you fit into. Look in the mirror at your complexion.

2. If you are fair skinned that you would look fabulous wearing colors that fall into the cool blue-red color family range.  These colors will have a cool plum base color.

3. For Medium to darker skin tones, a red from the orange-red color family will work best on you. These colors will have a warmer brown base color.

4. Now experiment. Go to the store and find a couple of shades: For the fair skinned look for colors that you think have a cooler brighter appearance. (no orangish color in them, more pinky, bright red.) For medium or darker skin tones, look for the colors that have a more brownish red, or deep red appearance.   Try them out and see which one looks best on you! Don't give up after one color!...maybe try the cheapies first like "wet and wild" colors!

5. Good luck! and have fun. you are beautiful!
