Cards for Max!
On Facebook This morning, I recieved an event invite to make a card for “Mighty” Max Low of Neola, Ia., Who began battling leukemia shortly after he started kindergarten in 2004.
Today he’s a 12-year-old sixth grader, still battling away at Children’s Hospital; Medical Center in Omaha. And he’s probably receiving more get well cards on a daily basis than anybody else on the planet. Heres the whole story.
When a friend suggested "Wouldn't it be cool to get a million cards in the mail" Max agreed and word of mouth spread and spread...
I wanted to do something cooler than just a regular card, and went back to my old favorites on etsy to find a pop up card shop i had favorited months ago - Easy Cut Pop Up. Heres my card for Max! sending today with some of my True Star Magazines, I used my own textured papers, and added a couple little extras. (bird, bunny, and words)
Heres the shops website also EASY CUT POP UP
Easy Cut Pop-ups are printable pop-up card patterns. Just download, print, cut, fold and assemble. Then watch them take form before your eyes. It’s more than just a greeting card, it’s handmade art you share with someone special. It’s fun, it’s easy and best of all, you can make them again and again and again!
All cards are headed for this address:
Mighty Max Low
P.O. Box 111
Neola, IA 51559

Spreading Some Serious Love....
What a TRULY amazing story I came across this morning. As I started from one blog The Foundrie. which led me to Mer Mag, which led me to The Mom, a beautiful story started to unfold about the amazing story of Davy, a little girl with medical problems, an amazing Family - Ruth and Scott Schultz - the creator of Yo Gabba Gabba, to an artist, Merrilee, with an Awesome Print, and a huge heart, decided that all proceeds from her "Lovely, Love" prints will go to Davy and her family for things such as hospital, medical, and doctor bills, medications, supplies, etc.
Start reading here, and continue on to all the links in the story, to read about some amazing people!
And btw... after watching Yo Gabba Gabba with my Sister and Niece Evie, I Totally Lovely LOVE the show, specially watching Evie interact, dance and sing, was my favorite part!
I sure do Lovely Love my Family...

Absolutely Gorgeous Custom Earrings by Natalia Araya
I requested custom Earrings from Natalia, with some simple Illustrator Drawings, to see if she could make me earrings that I could wear day and night, I always wear simple silver hoops and wanted something creative and unique that I will enjoy looking at everyday, plus I have very sensitive ears and can't wear many types of metals.
I opened up my lovely package today to find, my amazing earrings in a cute colorful yarn bag, with a little doll as a gift. Natalia hand crafted two different types of earrings for me, and created a single smaller cartilage earring, SO cute! I love...
So excited! see her amazing jewelry at www.nataliaraya.com
